NEW EP by Satchel Hart – OUT 27/09

FR : Satchel Hart revient avec un EP intitulé « How To Succeed In Business And Then Die Anyway ». C’est un projet qui dévoile une facette plus sombre et introspective de l’artiste bruxellois, un an après la sortie de son premier album « Things Will Never Be The Same ». Là où l’album était solaire, cet EP se veut lunaire, explorant des thèmes plus sombres tels que la douleur inconsciente, la quête de liberté, ou encore l’acceptation de la mort. Musicalement, Satchel élargit son spectre artistique en s’inspirant du post-punk et du rock expérimental, à l’image de The Garden, tout en restant influencé par les compositions psyche-pop cosmiques, imprégnées de l’influence de Tame Impala et de Mac DeMarco. Cet EP est presque entièrement autoproduit. En effet, l’artiste, ingénieur du son et multi-instrumentiste, écrit, compose, joue quasiment tous les instruments sur cet opus et mixe lui-même ses morceaux. Une sortie prometteuse donc, à découvrir le 27 septembre prochain au Botanique à Bruxelles.
